In Perspective: Uwe Timm

The most recent visitor to the department was the celebrated writer Uwe Timm. Herr Timm read from his novels Morenga, which deals with Germany's troubled colonial history in South West Africa, and  his recent and critically acclaimed work, Rot.

The visit coincided with an international symposium devoted to Timm's work organised by the Department of German.
